The opposition wants to index wages and pensions by 42%

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine registered a draft law on the indexation of pensions, wages and welfare payments to inflation. Bill № 8247 from 16.03.2011 referred to the Committee of People's Deputies of the Yulia Tymoshenko Bloc-B, Sergei Sobolev and Andrei Pavlovsky. As stated in the explanatory memorandum, a draft law designed to indexing pensions, salaries and social benefits in accordance with the actual rate of inflation, which now stands at 42%, as well as providing social guarantees to citizens to maintain their standard of living. Indexation will be subject to income received by citizens in UAH in Ukraine and do not have a single character: Pensions (including allowances, bonuses, increase of pensions, supplementary pensions, targeted cash assistance for life, monthly public cash assistance and compensation payments), social assistance (families with children, unemployment, temporary disability, etc.) scholarships; pay (cash collateral); amount of compensation for harm caused to an employee injury or other harm to health, as well as amounts paid to persons entitled to compensation damages for loss of breadwinner; monetary compensation for reinstatement, and other payments if under the law they are made of the average wage. In particular, MPs offer to January 1, 2011 to index pensions, salaries, scholarships and other social payments to the index of consumer prices - 42%.
