Norilsk extends cooperation with South Africa

MMC Norilsk Nickel and the State Department of Natural Resources of South Africa signed a declaration on strategic partnership. Informs the press service of Norilsk Nickel. The corresponding document was signed during the visit of chairman of Norilsk Nickel, Vladimir Strzhalkovsky in South Africa and a business meeting with Director General of the State Department of Natural Resources of South Africa Sandile Advom Nogksinom. The partnership of the parties is aimed at the realization of promising projects in South Africa to develop the mineral resource base. The strategic partnership Department of Natural Resources of South Africa supported the participation of MMC in the creation of the National Fund of mining and exploration in conjunction with the South African Industrial Development Corporation. It is assumed that the activities of the fund will be aimed at forming a strategic resource base of the main types of minerals in South Africa. Previously reported that Norilsk Nickel is studying several projects in Indonesia.
