Zinc Japanese company Mitsui Mining agreed to a 2-month halt production of its largest plant Hachinohe. This was stated in the concern, reports Yieh.Corp. This venture will be taken out of service for maintenance during the period from March 15 to May 15. As a result, zinc production will decrease by 10 thousand tons and will amount to 90 thousand tons. Previously reported that Mitsui Mining plans to increase its zinc production by 6,5% in the second half of the fiscal year compared to the same period last year. Recall that "Mitsui Mining and Smelting Co" in late October, stopped production at its plant in Hikoshima. Output at the plant halted for 20 days, during which the Mitsui Mining will undertake maintenance of the plant. Capacity of the plant is estimated at 74 thousand tons of special high-quality zinc.
