The Court of Appeal upheld Kiev Pechersk district court decision regarding the detention of former Deputy Justice Minister Yevhen Korniychuk. Such a decision the court took today. In this case, the representative of the prosecutor's office, speaking out against the complaint E. Korniychuk, said that while at liberty, a former first deputy head of the Justice Ministry will be able to influence the result, as well as to evade the investigation. In turn, E. Korniychuk said the decision of the Court of Appeal did not meet the European practice. "I'm sorry for such a court decision. If such a pilot from a legal point of view, a person like me has no right to be protected, then what about other citizens," - he said. We recall that on 23 December E. Korniychuk was arrested after questioning at the Prosecutor General of Ukraine and placed in temporary detention Podolsky. According to media reports, E. Korniychuk testified in the case related to the provision of services to law firms Magisters Naftogaz Ukrainy. E. Korniychuk is accused that he, being the first Deputy Minister of Justice, has allowed competition for legal services to Naftogaz with one performer. It is known that E.
