Herman Van Rompuy EU has overcome a recession, as evidenced by the positive dynamics of economic growth in the community for 11 months of this year, said a permanent president of the European Council of Herman Van Rompuy. According to him, in the euro area as a whole, there is low inflation and balance of payments is in equilibrium. However, difficulties remain, admitted Van Rompuy. "Between the euro area are still too many differences in terms of economic growth, fiscal position and balance of payments, and this is the case that the crisis settled in different countries that have adopted austerity measures and reforms have started," - said the head of the Council of Europe in an interview Belgian television station RTBF. In this situation, Van Rompuy considers necessary to ensure greater convergence and coherence among members of the eurozone, which should assist partners in the monetary union in overcoming financial difficulties. Chairman of the Council of Europe has assured that the protection of the euro will do everything necessary. Van Rompuy finds an encouraging sign the entry into the euro zone of Estonia on 1 January 2011. "This is significant, despite the fact that some no longer believe or trust too little, while others believe it (the stability of the euro area) anymore, and I think it's a very positive sign" - he added. It was reported that Estonia will become the 17 th member of the euro zone.
