Stocks of primary aluminum in the world in November 2010 compared to November 2009 rose by 189 thousand tons and amounted to 2.373 million tons. This is illustrated by International Aluminium Institute. Compared to the previous month, world reserves of aluminum fell by 79 thousand tons. It is estimated reserves of winged metal in North America totaled 544 thousand tons in Latin America - 182 thousand tons in Asia - 372 thousand tons, while in Europe - 1.05 million tons. We note that the stocks of primary aluminum in the world in October 2010 compared with October 2009 increased by 179 thousand tons and reached 2.447 million tons. Earlier, analysts Japan Aluminium Association expressed the view that demand for aluminum in the next decade will be doubled. This will lead to a shortage of metal in the $ 8 million tons. According to them, by 2020, consumption of aluminum in the world will grow from 38 million tonnes to 74 million tons. In turn, the power of the world's manufacturers of metal production will rise by 47% and amount to 66 million tons. Recall that in the Japanese company "Sumitomo Corp" suggested that the global aluminum surplus in 2010 will be 2.5 million tons.
