State Committee approved the changes to the procedure of state registration of special dietary food consumption and dietary supplements. Committee peresoglasoval draft decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine "On Amendments to the procedure approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated July 26, 2006 № 1023". The draft resolution developed by the Ministry of Health, proposes to amend the procedure for state registration of special dietary food intake, functional foods and dietary supplements. To date to assess the material and the product in accordance with this procedure is limited to carrying out sanitary-epidemiological examination and grant, signed by the Chief Medical Officer. Such examination, in most cases can not fully guarantee the safety, quality and effectiveness of these products, since most is to conduct tests to determine the number of conditionally pathogenic microorganisms, the amount of heavy metals in general compliance with the requirements of current health legislation.
