Cereal agencies and companies agreed to transparency in business

Agricultural Policy and Food, the Ukrainian Grain Association, the Ukrainian Agrarian Confederation, Institute of Agricultural Markets and the Bank have agreed on the principles of operation of a transparent grain market in Ukraine at the signing ceremony was attended by representatives of all major international and Ukrainian grain companies that operate in Ukraine , the press service of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. Today's signing was the result of a joint initiative of the Bank and the Ministry of Agricultural Policy and Food, aimed at the development of grain sector in Ukraine. The objectives of this initiative include improving the regulatory framework, support the formation of a transparent and predictable long-term policies, as well as increasing the investment attractiveness of Ukrainian grain sector. This initiative is an important step for a country that can produce about eighty million tons of grain annually and aims to become one of the leading food suppliers in the world. In the future, Ukraine can play a key role in addressing global food security. If Ukraine will establish appropriate laws and regulations, it is also able to attract billions of investment in the agribusiness sector. In accordance with the memorandum of his party will actively work towards harmonizing relations between regulators and private operators of the grain sector. This activity involves the development of legislation that would allow to use new tools dourozhaynogo financing, as well as new principles of standardization and certification. Private companies, in turn, is obliged to invest in facilities for storage and transportation of grain, as well as working with Ukrainian farmers in the spread and development of high technology production and processing of grain. In preparing the regulations that have an impact on private actors grain sector, the Ministry of Agricultural Policy and Food will be the early stages of consultations with key stakeholders.
