Freedom House Ukraine recalls the freedom of speech

Only one sixth of the world's population lives in countries with a free and independent media. Such data are contained in the report of the international non-governmental organization Freedom House, according to Radio Liberty. According to the organization over the past years, the situation of press freedom has deteriorated markedly in many countries - including Egypt, Turkey and Ukraine. Freedom House calls the 10 countries where a free press does not exist or are subject to the most stringent persecution. Among them, Belarus, Cuba, Iran, Myanmar, North Korea and Uzbekistan. Earlier in the Freedom House stated that for the year presidency of Viktor Yanukovych in Ukraine worsened the situation with democratic practices and human rights that threatens to return to authoritarianism.
