The Verkhovna Rada adopted in first reading amendments to the Law "On tourism". If they come into force (this requires a second reading and the signature of the President), tour operators will be required before the trip better than now, to inform clients about the conditions of rest and compensate them for the shortfall in the declared services. Thus, the future tourist has the right to know what he will ride or fly, where to live (up to the view from hotel window), what to eat. He must explain what precautions should be observed at rest, to tell about the customs of local residents, what will be guided tours. If the operator, for example, failed to settle the client to the specified property and he refused to rest, he should be free to deliver the client's home and offset the cost of foregone services. Also, the tour agency has no right to raise the cost of the trip later than 20 days before it starts, and more than 5% of the original amount. When refusing a client from a holiday he must return at least half the cost of the tour (he now recovers all costs incurred by up to 100%). A disruption in the tour operator's fault, he not only obliged to refund the customer, but also to pay compensation for moral damages (which are not specified). As assured us press secretary of the Association of Tourist Business Leaders of Ukraine Yulia Oleinik, most travel agencies, mainly to comply with these requirements, so changes to the law only become ordered obligations and rights of the parties and will not lead to an increase in the cost of vouchers.
