Yanukovych and Aliev tuned to develop relationships

The development of relations between Ukraine and Azerbaijan, is a prime example of strong partnerships between countries. This was stated by the President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych today early in the third meeting of the Council of Presidents of Ukraine and Azerbaijan. Head of State noted that Ukraine and Azerbaijan have long been strategic partners. "This is a vivid example of how to build a relationship between two very close countries and we are extremely successful in developing them at the bilateral level," - said Viktor Yanukovych. In this regard the President noted the effective work of the Joint intergovernmental Ukrainian-Azerbaijani commission for economic cooperation and all its sub-committees. Evidence of its productive activities in the past year, the head of state called the growth of trade turnover between Ukraine and Azerbaijan, which "has reached a record." "But this is not the limit. I am certain: our possibilities much wider," - said Viktor Yanukovych. The president also praised the fact that Ukraine was the second trade partner after Russia, Azerbaijan. For its part, the President of Azerbaijan expressed his confidence that the visit of his Ukrainian counterpart will be successful. "I'm sure - the visit will be successful. There will be good results. We are actively moving forward" - said Aliyev. He noted that today the main directions of cooperation between Ukraine and Azerbaijan, on which work is under way. In this context, President Aliyev agreed with Yanukovych on the effective work of the Joint intergovernmental Ukrainian-Azerbaijani commission for economic cooperation. He said a separate development of political dialogue between the countries. "At the meeting of the Council of Presidents, we will discuss an agreed agenda. It is diverse, detailed and specific", - noted the President of Azerbaijan. "I'm sure after a meeting of the Council of Presidents, we define the next steps to develop our relations, we very much appreciate it. We are convinced that in the future of their ongoing development will also contribute to broader inter-regional cooperation", - concluded Aliyev. As reported previously the President of Ukraine informed about the interest of our country to take part in the project of Eurasian oil transportation corridor. Yanukovych recall that during the World Economic Forum in Davos in January this year, bilateral agreements were signed in the field of oil and liquefied natural gas, which create the necessary basis for further cooperation.
