Ukraine has reduced the export of electricity

Ukraine in January-March 2011 has reduced the export of electricity by 0,5% (6,1 million kWh) compared to the same period in 2010 - up to 1.196 billion kWh. This was reported by the Ministry of Energy and Mines. The slight decrease in supply due to lack of export to Belarus in January this year, as well as the breakdown of transformers Burshtyn TPP in the third week of February, because of what was temporarily reduced the export of Ukrainian electricity to Europe, explained in the ministry. Electricity supplies to "energoostrova Burshtynsk TPP towards Hungary, Slovakia and Romania for three months increased by 14,6% (to 76.4 million kilowatt-hours) compared with January-March 2010 - up to 600.6 million kilowatt- h. Belarus during the reporting period, imported 591.6 million kWh of Ukrainian electricity, which is 12,5% (at 84.4 million kWh) less than in the first quarter of 2010. In addition, Ukraine in January-March 2011 increased its exports to Moldova in the 2-fold (to 1.9 million kW-h) - up to 3.8 million kWh. Russia and Poland in 2011 did not import Ukrainian electric energy. In March this year the export of electricity was 490 million kilowatt-hours, which is 2,3 times (to 273.8 million kWh) more than in March 2010. In this case, the supply of Ukrainian electric power in the direction of Europe for the last month amounted to 161.2 million kWh against 6.5 million kWh in March 2010. According to the results of March increased exports to Belarus amounted to 56,4% - to 327.1 million kWh in Moldova - 3,4 times, to 1.7 million kWh.
