MPs propose to export the meat through the SOE

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine registered a draft law amending the Law of Ukraine "On State Support of Agriculture of Ukraine" concerning features of the export of objects of state price regulation. Bill № 8053 from 02.02.2011 referred to the appropriate committee by deputies from the Party of Regions, Communist Party and the People's Party. As stated in the explanatory memorandum, the bill is to protect the interests of domestic producers of agricultural products, it is possible by introducing new rules for exports of agricultural products, which is subject to state price regulation. In particular, the project provides the necessary changes to the Law of Ukraine "On State Support of Agriculture of Ukraine". The bill introduces a new Article 16.1, "Features of the export of objects of state price regulation," according to which the export of objects of state price regulation is carried out by agricultural producers of such objects in the volume of production and State agent for the export of objects of state price regulation. The list of such objects is established by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine annually on monitoring results of the agrarian market. State agent is determined by the Cabinet on a competitive basis. According to the changes in the law, the State agent for the export of objects of state price regulation - the State enterprise or business entity in the authorized capital of which is the state's share. Under current law, the objects of state price regulation are the following types of agricultural products: wheat, hard, soft wheat, grain mixture of wheat and rye (meslin) corn; barley, winter rye, spring rye, peas, buckwheat, millet, oats, soybeans, seeds sunflower, rapeseed, flaxseed, hops cones, sugar (beet), wheat flour, rye flour, meat and offal of slaughtered animals and poultry, milk powder, butter, sunflower oil.
