In Ukraine, the growing production of pig iron

In January 2011, pig iron production in Ukraine increased by 0.3%, or 6.58 tons, compared with December 2010, to 2.412 million tons. This was stated by the source in the Cabinet. In January 2011, production of pig iron in the iron and steel works ArcelorMittal Krivoy Rog (Dnepropetrovsk reg.) Decreased by 7.2%, or 30 thousand tons to 389 tons. As reported in December of iron production in the country increased by 3,9%, or 90.82 tons, compared with November, to 2,405.42 tons. Previously reported that in 2010 imports of pig iron in Ukraine has increased compared to 2009 in 5,5 times, or 52.88 tonnes to 64.54 tonnes.
