In Russia there will be a new organization of Ukrainians

Until the end of February, Russia earned a coordinating council for the preparation of creating the All-Russian Public Organization of Ukrainians. Told Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine in Russia, Vladimir Yelchenko on the results of yesterday's meeting of the Diaspora in the Ukrainian embassy in Moscow. "The most important decision that was made - until the end of February to create a coordinating council for the establishment of Russian Organization of Ukrainians in Russia. This council will be small in number - 8-12 Ukrainian activists. It would be important to its membership included representatives from each of the eight federal districts of Russia ", - said Vladimir Yelchenko. He stressed that the Coordinating Council will begin preparations for the congress, which will complete the formation of the All-Russian organization and election of its leadership, then held its registration. The ambassador said during a meeting of Ukrainian activists came to the conclusion that the new organization should lead the authoritative representatives of the Ukrainian community in Russia. According to Vladimir Yelchenko, the meeting noted the importance of establishing a permanent secretariat of the organization that ensures its ongoing activities. The ambassador noted that many members of the Diaspora during the meeting expressed the view that the line at closing of the Federal National Cultural Autonomy of Ukrainians in Russia (NCFA SD) and the Association of Ukrainians in Russia (ESD) from the Russian authorities last but not least is the result of the mistakes the current leadership these organizations. At the same time, the ambassador said, the majority of Ukrainian activists noted the importance to make every effort to preserve the ESD. In his opinion, the situation on the Elimination of ESD is important to fix and the embassy will be the most to promote this at the Russian Foreign Ministry and the Presidential Administration. As stressed by V. Yelchenko, the creation of All-Ukrainian organizations and efforts to preserve the ESD is a complementary process, the ultimate goal of which one - the beginning of operation in Russia, an influential and effective Ukrainian public association. "We try to keep this organization, but in parallel with this work will be undertaken to establish a new Russian Organization for Ukrainians. Perhaps this will be done on the existing ESD or on a new basis. This should be decided by the Ukrainians in Russia", - he added. "In my opinion, the main result of this meeting is in full understanding of what must exist in this country one powerful energetic and influential organization, which will be felt in all regions of Russia and abroad", - said Vladimir Yelchenko. He said that was also discussed cooperation with the Embassy of the Diaspora on many issues - Opening of Ukrainian schools in the cities of residence of the Ukrainians, the creation of a Ukrainian-Russian of the channel and the like. The ambassador said in a meeting attended by about 70 representatives of Ukrainian activists from different regions of Russia, as well as representatives of national groups in Moscow and Moscow region, Ukrainian diplomats in Moscow and the Director of the MFA of Ukraine Volodymyr Yatsenkivsky, which handles relations with foreign Ukrainians. The Ambassador stressed that participation in this meeting were numerous representatives of Ukrainian youth in Russia. He also assured that the Ukrainian government will do its utmost to promote the development of the Ukrainian diaspora in Russia. As reported, January 27, Russia's Supreme Court made a final decision on the liquidation of the Federal National Cultural Autonomy of Ukrainians in Russia (NCFA SD).
