In March, more expensive electricity

National Electricity Regulatory Commission in March raised retail electricity prices for industrial consumers and public institutions by 2,4% compared to February, up 61,76-77,44 kopecks / kWh (excluding VAT). This is stated in the decree № 288 of the Commission on February 24. In this case, NERC has raised retail rates for customers of class I to 2.35%, to 61.76 kopecks / kWh, and consumers of class II - by 2.39% to 77.44 kopecks / kWh. Increasing retail tariffs due to the growth forecast wholesale market prices for electricity, which is determined by the Commission in March to increase by 4% compared to February, up 56.19 kopecks / kWh (excluding VAT). It is worth noting that the increase in wholesale prices in March compared to the same period in 2010 will be 23.59% or 10.73 kopecks / kWh. In this case, the Commission had previously forecast a rise in wholesale electricity prices of 2011 by 15-17% compared with the previous period, to 57,79-58,79 kopecks / kWh. We recall in February NERC raised the retail prices by 5% compared to January, up 60.34 kopecks / kWh for customers of class I and up to 75.63 kopecks per kWh for customers of class II. Wholesale price of electricity in February, the Commission has increased by 2,5% compared to January, up 54.03 kopecks / kWh.
