The Cabinet decided to: a living wage is not needed

Vasily Nadraga Ministry for Social Policy considers it expedient to abandon such thing as a living wage. At the briefing, said First Deputy Minister Vasily sotspolitiki Nadraga. "We believe that the principle is still other things - the minimum social pension, the minimum wage regardless of whether it is hourly or weekly. We should not pass living wage, and social standards ", - he said. As Ukrainian News reported, Nadraga recalled the experience of other countries that do not always understand what is the cost of living. "There are other criteria - a minimum wage per month, or other things that indicate which option wealth should be the man to have a decent standard of living" - the first deputy minister added. Earlier for refusing to subsistence was made by President Viktor Yanukovych. The state budget-2011 the subsistence minimum is set at 894 UAH per person per month. From 1 April it will increase to 911 UAH. The subsistence minimum is tied most of the social benefits: child benefit, pensions, etc.
