Yanukovych praised Europe's contribution to Ukrainian reforms

Canada appreciates the contribution of experts from the Council of Europe in implementing reforms in our state. This was stated by the President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych during his meeting with Secretary General of the Council of Europe Turbyornom Jagland, the press service of the State. Yanukovych stressed that the Council of Europe is our reliable partner in building a democratic system. "Today we are working hard to ensure that the rule of law, developed legal culture, a balanced representative mechanism, the creation of really strong government and good governance were at the heart of the state policy of Ukraine", - said the President. According to the approved plan, the Ministry of Justice and the Interior Ministry should develop a concept for reforming the law enforcement agencies within a year after the adoption of the new Criminal Procedure Code.
