Russia to increase the quota on imports of Ukrainian pipes

Economic Development and Trade of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine signed an agreement in Moscow on duty-free shipments of 300 thousand tons of pipes from Ukraine to Russia in 2011. This was reported today by the press office of the Russian authorities. In this case, the Deputy Minister of Economic Development Minister Andrei Slepnev noted that the agreement is an important step towards lifting barrage of measures in mutual trade. He also expressed satisfaction with the actions of Ukraine to lift restrictions. Thus, over the last week of December 2010 Ukraine has lifted restrictions on the amount over $ 120 million for deliveries of Russian products, including ferroalloys and chemical fertilizers. Recall that in 2010 Russia and Ukraine signed an agreement on duty-free import of Ukrainian pipes to Russia in the amount of up to 260 tons. As you know, Russia has imposed antidumping duties on imports of pipes from Ukraine in December 2005 for a period of 5 years on January 30, 2011. In particular, the duty on oil and gas pipe was 8.9%, bearing - 55,3%, casing - 11,4%, tubing - 18,1%.
