Oschadbank granted independence

According to the "EI" chairman Sergei Oschadbanka Podrezov, the board agreed on the creation of its own processing center (PC), because the current situation, the state bank is very limited in the development of services and forced to carry a train of additional costs. "Own PC will provide the bank's independence in implementing and supporting its own business strategy. In fact, it opens the way for the creation and implementation of new bank products and services", - says Sergey Podrezov. Personal PCs, he said, will give the bank control over the IT-support of their own business. Deciding on the need to create their own PCs, primarily depends on the goals and objectives, which poses a bank. "Some banks decide for themselves to work on its own processing center, while others believe that they feel more comfortable on the other processing that may be present both in Ukraine and abroad. In this case, the location of the HRC does not appear on his work" - explain to the public Ukreximbank, a processing center which is used by more than 20 banks in Ukraine. "The disadvantages of using someone else's processing center associated with the need to find its own optimal balance, both between their own interests and the interests of bank customers (if you use the PC of an individual bank), and between the interests of individual banks' customers, which may not coincide in time (if using an independent HRC), "- says the chairman of the board of Sberbank of Russia, Igor Jusko. But as noted banker, very much depends on the technology and functionality of a software solution selected for the construction of a processing center. "Using another bank's processing center, it makes sense for small banks. Since they generally operate at a higher (more risk) segment of interest rates," - says a senior analyst with Troika Dialog Ukraine Eugene Grebenyuk. But for larger banks, which increase the scale of business, there comes a point when it makes sense to create the center. During the crisis, Oschadbank significantly increased its assets and became the third largest bank in Ukraine. Because the creation of its own processing center seems logical. "Obviously, after the establishment of the center Oschadbank, other state banks will no longer be a need for such centers," - says Yevgeny Grebenyuk. "Formation of its own processing center involves the construction of direct interaction with international payment systems and, accordingly, certified in these payment systems. Duration of the project for certification is about four or five months", - says Igor Jusko. Additionally, it will take time to choose the software selection and arrangement of rooms according to the requirements of payment systems, procurement and commissioning of hardware and software. Thus, to establish their own processing center goes less than a year. "Speed ??the issuance of banknotes by ATM, of course, will not change.
