JSW Steel to increase production at a plant in India

Steelmaker JSW Steel will bring the production of a metallurgical plant in Maharashtra at full capacity, which amounts to 3.3 million tons. This was stated in the Group. This plant was started almost immediately after JSW bought 41% stake in the corporation Ispat Industries. "We are already working at capacity 5600 tons per day and increase capacity up to 8500-9000 tonnes per day in the near future," - noted in JSW Steel. JSW Steel in November 2010 compared to November 2009 has increased steel production by 6% to 508 thousand tons. In turn, the issue of flat-rolled products in a given period has increased by 28% and reached 381 thousand tons. Production of long products has risen by 28%, amounting to 88 thousand tons. JSW Steel is one of the industry leaders in India. Its production capacity for steel mill in Vijayanagar is approximately 3.8 million tons per year. At the same time in the company say they plan to increase to 10 million tons. Ministry of Industry
