Japan has reduced the import of stainless steel at 12,4%

Japan in January 2011 compared with December 2010 has reduced imports of stainless steel by 12,4% to 13.228 tonnes. This is illustrated by Iron & Steel Institute Japan, says Yieh.Corp. It is estimated South Korea reduced the supply of stainless steel in the country by 12,4% to 10.185 tons, Taiwan - 25% up to 1.111 tons, and China - on 0,8% to 15.095 tonnes. Earlier it was reported that Japan, in January 2011 compared to December 2010 reduced the export of stainless steel by 17,3% to 93.842 tonnes. Exports to China declined by 40.25 to 13.268 tons, South Korea - grew 17% to 20.412 tons, Taiwan - have fallen by 28,2% to 10.803 thousand tons in the United States - decreased by 18,6% to 5.559 tons, and Thailand - fell by 40.9% to 10.45 tons.
