Ukrainian banks have suffered losses in the quarter

Financial result of the Ukrainian banks in the first quarter of this year was negative (- 210.8 million USD), according to a review of the NBU revenues and expenses of banks in the I quarter of 2011. Note that for the I quarter of 2010, the Ukrainian banking system showed a loss of 4.4 billion UAH. As stated in the review of the NBU, the income of banks of Ukraine in the I quarter of 2011 compared with I quarter of 2010 increased by 5,5% and amounted to 34.4 billion UAH. It is also reported that the cost of banks in the I quarter of 2011 decreased by 6,6% and amounted to 34.6 billion UAH. Materials: RBC-Ukraine
