Simonenko scares nationalist prosecutors

General Prosecutor of Ukraine should react to the actions of individual local authorities, who decided not to hang out on the Day of Victory red flags. The statement was made first secretary of the Communist Party of Ukraine Pyotr Simonenko at a press conference. "There is a law on the perpetuation of Victory. If they break the law, the Prosecutor General's Office should prosecute officials and to make objections to decisions made by individual local authorities. Law enforcers should strictly monitor the implementation of the law throughout the territory of Ukraine", - stressed Symonenko. Earlier, parliament passed a bill of People's Deputies, headed by the Communist Peter Tsybenko "Amendments to the Law of Ukraine" On perpetuation of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945. "This document local authorities were obliged to hang out on May 9, together with the state flag Ukrainian flag USSR administrative buildings. Note that in the western Ukrainian regions of the deputies some local councils have already banned the deployment of Soviet symbols in public buildings.
