Registered in the Parliament a draft law on amending Article 21 of the Law of Ukraine "On Advertising" (to limit drug advertising). In accordance with the changes, it is assumed that the advertising of medicines, medical equipment, methods of prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation can take place only in the appropriate specialized publications for medical institutions and doctors, or by placing the internal advertising in health care facilities, pharmacies, but also extend to seminars, conferences and symposia on medical topics. According to the authors of the bill, its passage will help ensure that citizens will seek advice on treatment, not the commercials, as a qualified doctor, who also for unlawful acts relative to the patient is legally liable. For its part, wants to see that "qualified doctors", except for professional assistance, will recommend patients to those drugs and others for promotion of which they get "left signal" that, in general, it is no secret, and citizens, in turn, will be deprived of basic information on the availability of new products on the market of medical preparations, and thus the possibility of choosing the latter.
