U.S. Yanukovych pushed to Europe

United States expressed strong support for the development of relations between Ukraine and the European Union. This was stated by Vice President Joseph Biden in a telephone conversation with President Viktor Yanukovych, the press service of the Ukrainian state. "The development of Ukraine under your leadership is very important for the transformation of Ukraine into a bridge between Europe and Russia", - said Joe Biden. He also expressed U.S. readiness to support the successful conclusion of negotiations on concluding an association agreement between Ukraine and the EU. The parties also discussed the bilateral US-Ukrainian relations and exchanged views on the situation in the Middle East. The conversation was initiated by the U.S. side. Earlier, Yanukovych said that a united Europe is Ukraine's strategic partner and an example in many ways. According to him, negotiations on an association agreement with the EU ended. At the same time Ukraine is steadily approaching the creation of deep free trade area with the EU and performs an action plan to liberalize the EU visa regime for Ukrainians, he said.
