As of February 28, Ukraine's foreign debt stood at 24.66 billion U.S. dollars. Since the beginning of the year debt rose to 7.58% government domestic debt during the same period decreased by 0.52% and amounted to 140.9 billion USD (17.77 billion dollars). Publicly guaranteed debt of Ukraine has increased by 0.43% and the end of February stood at 109.2 billion USD (13.77 billion dollars). As the press service of the Ministry of Finance, Ukraine's debts have increased mainly due to growth in foreign exchange rates for the hryvnia, dovypuska Government Bonds in 2010 in the amount of $ 100 million, issuing government bonds in 2011 in the amount of 1,5 billion dollars.
