Rada has refused to define the conditions for employment of foreigners

The Supreme Rada has refused to define the conditions for employment of foreigners and stateless persons in Ukraine. For adoption on first reading a draft law number 4684 on amending some legislative acts of Ukraine (concerning the use of labor in Ukraine of foreigners and stateless persons), 10 deputies voted for the minimum required 226. The draft stipulates that the right to work in Ukraine may have only foreigners or stateless persons who have been granted an immigration or refugee status, either as employers must obtain from the specially authorized central body responsible for migration affairs permission to use their labor. The project also proposed to determine if the region is the Ukrainian citizens, who can work in this area, a permit to attract foreigners to work is not issued. As reported in August the Ministry of Justice put up for public discussion of the concept of state migration policy. Earlier, the International Organization of Amnesty International called on Ukraine to create a functioning asylum system and to start a fair procedure for processing of refugee status.
