The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine registered the bill on tax-exempt transactions for import of waste paper and energy-efficient equipment into the customs territory of Ukraine. The document envisages changes in the first part of Article 19 of the Law of Ukraine "On Unified Customs Tariff". The initiator of the bill № 7428 of 06.12.2010 made by MP from the Party of Regions, Andrey Pinchuk. The draft law designed to resolve the issue of granting concessions for import into the customs territory of Ukraine of waste paper and cardboard and paper, equipment that runs on renewable energy, energy-efficient equipment and materials, measuring instruments, control and management costs of fuel and energy resources, equipment and materials for the production of energy from renewable sources of energy, materials, equipment and components used for their production. The project actually duplicates standards of paragraph 38 of section I of the draft Law of Ukraine "On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine in connection with the adoption of the Tax Code of Ukraine" (№ 7101-2), which were rejected on formal grounds as those which do not meet the legislative technique . The project amends the first part of Article 19 of the Law of Ukraine "On Unified Customs Tariff" in accordance with which: - Prior to 2015, are exempt from duties on import operations in the customs territory of Ukraine of paper or paperboard, recovered from waste and recycled paper on codes UKT VED 4707 90 10 00 (unsorted) 4707 90 90 00 (ordered) - Editorial specified items "h", "u" on the list given in these types of equipment exempted from duties with the extension of these items.
