FAS has stopped proceedings against the CZP

FAS Russia has stopped the case against OAO "Chelyabinsk Zinc Plant" on the grounds of abuse of dominant position. This was stated in the press service of the company. The decision of the Federal Antimonopoly Service on 17 February 2011, in particular, found that the combined share of CZP on the Russian market of zinc is less than 20%. In accordance with Clause 2, Article 5 of the Federal Law "On protection of competition" can not be considered dominant position of an economic entity whose share in the market of certain goods does not exceed 35%. From this it follows that the enterprise does not have a dominant market position of zinc in the Russian Federation. Prohibitions established by Section 6 and 8 of Part 1 of Article 10 of the Federal Law "On Protection of Competition, does not apply to actions by CZP. Previously reported that Chelyabinsk Zinc Plant "in 2010 compared to 2009 increased the production of marketable zinc and its alloys by 28% to 153.335 tonnes.
