Dangerous than a tax on flash drives and other media?

The expert explained what can turn to the country's tax information media that can store objects of copyright. The bill, which mandates the imposition of a tax on the "stick", optical drives and other devices that can store or reproduce the subject matter of copyright, if adopted could lead to the fact that a business engaged in the manufacture and importation of such devices will go into the "shadow", as said Vice President of the Union of Auditors of Ukraine, Mikhail Krapivka. He expressed his opinion in a survey conducted by the Dnepropetrovsk branch of the Kiev Institute of Control Gorshenin. "The need for adoption of a law imposing a tax on electronic media, the MPs argue against piracy and copyright infringement. There's the cost of royalties to the copyright was originally laid in price of disks, flash drives or software ", - said M. Krapivka. According to him, these bills are to shadowing and business corruption. "A law establishing a tax on electronic media that the Verkhovna Rada adopted in first reading, the short-sighted, illogical and contrary to the general tax laws. If it is finally approved, we get rampant piracy, and the market of IT technologies will go into the shadows", - said M. . Krapivka. Recall that in February 2011 the Verkhovna Rada adopted in first reading bill N6523 amending some laws of Ukraine's governing copyright and related rights.
