Construction CCM factory Mittal behind schedule

Construction of the first continuous casting machine at the JSC "ArcelorMittal Krivoy Rog" knocked out of schedule. It is still a slight delay, so we plan that in October the continuous casting machine will be put into operation", - said R. Starks. Note that in June 2010, the leadership of ArcelorMittal Krivoy Rog has stated its plans to begin commercial operation of the CCM on September 9 this year. So that the surrender of the object is already knocked out almost a month. Earlier, the former CEO of ArcelorMittal Krivoy Rog Jean Jouet announced its intention to build at the plant five continuous casting machines. New branch for continuous casting of steel in converter shop ArcelorMittal Krivoy Rog will consist of basic equipment - a shestiruchevoy caster and one plant ladle furnace. Expected performance - up to 1.45 million tons of billets per year. Cross section of cast billets - square - 150 to 150 mm. The length of the pieces - from 9 to 12 meters. Stamps cast steel - carbon, structural, low-alloy. Supplier of basic technological equipment made by Siemens VAI Metals Technologies GmbH & Co. General Contractor in carrying out the preparatory work is CJSC Krivorozhindustroy. As stated previously, the cost of the construction project on casters ArcelorMittal Krivoy Rog is 92 million dollars of "ArcelorMittal Krivoy Rog" - one of the largest companies of MMC in Ukraine, including coke, mining and metallurgical production. The company specializes in the production of rebar and wire rod of conventional and low-alloy steels, and produces sinter, concentrate, coke, pig iron, steel, shapes and sections, blast furnace slag.
