Yanukovych told the Vietnamese about the art of diplomacy

Adopted in 2010 a law on the principles of domestic and foreign policy created the conditions for cooperation with the Russian Federation, the United States and the European Union. This was stated by President Viktor Yanukovych in Hanoi, by entering into Vietnam-Ukrainian business forum. He noted that the Act was assigned to neutral status of Ukraine. "Such a position we have created the conditions for normal cooperation with all the world's leading nations, including those from strategic partners - Russia, the U.S. and the EU. We have dramatically changed the atmosphere of the Ukrainian-Russian relations and brought them to the level of real strategic partnership" - said V. Yanukovych. According to him, the principle of non-alignment - it is an objective need for the new Ukraine, due to current geopolitical realities. "By refusing to participate in military alliances, not only do we have removed a significant domestic political tensions around the issue, but took a step toward increasing the level of security throughout Europe. We have also planned to carry out our multi-vector policy, and are building a pragmatic and mutually beneficial relations with the countries of South-East and Pacific Basin, "- said Viktor Yanukovych. He stressed that his previous trips to China and Japan, as well as the current visit to Viet Nam complement each other. "We are very pleased that our Vietnamese friends carry a wide win-win policy with China and with Japan and other countries. It just expands our joint opportunities. The traditional relations of Ukraine, Vietnam, Russia and China - these are traditions that have brought success "- said the President. Earlier it was reported that Yanukovych intends to visit a state visit to several countries in South-East Asia and hold talks with their leaders on the prospects of economic cooperation. The President also intends to meet with representatives of business circles of Vietnam, Singapore and Brunei Ministry of Industry
