Ukraine will collect money for the security of Chernobyl in April

At the International Conference for the 25-year anniversary of the Chernobyl tragedy, it is possible to raise the funds necessary for completion of the Shelter. This was stated by the President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych in Yenakiyevo, the press service of the State. The President noted that in the Chernobyl conference will be held a meeting of donors, which will be determined by the sum of the contributions that make the donor countries and states that decide to join them. "We believe that during the conference we will be able to gather, perhaps, the entire amount needed for the completion of the Shelter, and conduct all the work that will guarantee the safe operation of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant" - the head of state. Yanukovych said that the recent tragic events in Japan once again convince the world that only joint efforts can be overcome challenges such as the Chernobyl accident and Fukushima-1.
