Share of NPLs in the portfolios of banking institutions in Ukraine makes up 30-40%. This was during a press conference, said a board member of the Forum's leading international financial institutions Steven Fisher, the correspondent of RBC-Ukraine. S. Fischer noted that over the past few months the number of restructured loans, some banks had reached 60%. "This problem must be addressed at the legislative level, in order to clean up their balance sheets the banks, and thus recapitalized and continue working to restore healthy lending," - he said. S. Fischer added that the rating agency Fitch in its report indicated that the level of problem loans is very serious. In turn, chairman of the board of Ukrsotsbank Boris Tymonkin noted that banks' loan portfolios is approximately 30% of non-performing loans: "There is discussion about 25-30% of non-performing loans."
