U.S. warns of possible Yanukovych's economic isolation

American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine considers that the adoption of amendments to the Law "On State Support of Agriculture of Ukraine", the proposed bill number 8053, could lead to economic isolation of Ukraine said in a letter to the President of AmCham Ukraine from 23 February 2011 , UNIAN reports. In the ATP indicate that the adoption of amendments to the law in fact lead to the establishment of state control over grain markets. Besides being Ukraine's reputation and cause financial and commercial losses, these legal steps, according to the ATP would be contrary to a number of laws and legal obligation to support free trade and foreign investment that our country has assumed under the WTO and other international and bilateral treaties. Forced price cuts in the domestic market by the monopoly exporter, according to the ATP, could harm farmers and agricultural producers, jeopardize the liquidation of several thousand companies that manufacture and export of agricultural products, because they can not sell their products at fair prices. The letter also notes that the adoption of the proposed changes drastically reduce funding available for farmers and food industry, because today it provides foreign and domestic investors - the companies involved in trade and exports.
