The People's Deputies voted to increase the minimum size of the authorized capital of newly established banks. After the document comes into force, to create a new bank will have no 75 (as previously), and 120 million hryvnia. For taking on the whole of the bill (№ 0884), 230 deputies voted. In addition, the same document is enhanced requirements for the minimum "ustavnika" existing banks - up to 120 mln. True, the banks, whose authorized capital is less than this figure is on the capitalization for five years. Now the minimum allowable size of "ustavnika" current bank is set at 75 mln. According to "Delo", earlier this same bill was supposed to dramatically tighten the requirements posed by an authorized capital of banks. If now the bank's authorized capital at the time of registration can not be less than 75 mln., The bill proposes to raise this threshold to 6.7 times - up to 500 mln. Such high demands of intense criticism among bankers, for their review of the Association of Ukrainian Banks and the Association "Ukrainian Credit-bank Union", representing virtually all banks in Ukraine. As a result, when finalizing the document, the size requirements for capital have been relaxed to 120 million hryvnia. We remind myself a bill on amending some laws of Ukraine (regarding regulation of banks) was registered in November 2007. However, serious changes in the text were made in the autumn of 2010. The initiators of the bill are the deputies of the Party of Regions Yuri Voropayev, Rinat Akhmetov, and Alexander Vilkul. Materials: The Case »
