MPs want to introduce a license to transport hazardous cargo

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine registered a draft law amending the Law on road transport to streamline road transport. Bill number 8029 on 28/1/2011 initiated individual deputies. As stated in the explanatory memorandum, the main objective is to improve the organization of international transport in road transport and to bring the law "On Automobile Transport" in accordance with the requirements of European legislation. As well as providing adequate, timely completion of major tasks and functions, creation of conditions for Ukraine's joining the European Union. In particular, it is proposed to introduce a European approach to extradition documents giving the right to exercise economic activities in the field of road transport. Introduced the rule that when the transport of dangerous goods by road carrier must obtain a license. It is also proposed to introduce norms of international law regarding the mandatory installation and use on vehicles operating control devices - tachographs for the international carriage of passengers and (or) cargo vehicles. However, the authors of the bill believe it is expedient to exclude the presence of a normal resident and non-residents that carry out international carriage of passengers, a certificate of conformity of the vehicle requirements of Ukrainian legislation with respect to safety, environmental safety and energy conservation, since to date no one international instrument is not defined requirements for the specified certificate.
