Entered into force on the decision to extend the quotas for grain export

The Cabinet of Ministers issued a decree on the extension until June 30, 2011 quotas for grain export. The corresponding decree is published in Uryadova Courier on Saturday. As reported with reference to the Minister of Agricultural Policy and Food Prysyazhnyuk Nicholas, the government on March 30 decided to extend the quotas for grain exports until June 30, 2011, at the same time increasing the quota for corn for 2 million tons. In early October 2010 the Cabinet of Ministers introduced quotas for grain export in the period up to December 31, 2010. Late last year it was extended until March 31, 2011. In this case, the total size of quotas has been increased by 1.5 million tonnes - up 4.2 million tons. During this time the quotas were distributed twice a way that caused then sharp criticism from market participants: Many companies were unable to get the opinion of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and the availability of food grains, which are necessary for applying for a quota.
