Cabinet has proposed to introduce a duty on wheat, barley and maize

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine proposes to introduce export duties on wheat, barley and maize The governmental draft law on amendments to the Tax Code of Ukraine and the approval rate of export duty on some types of crops is registered in the Verkhovna Rada (№ 8321). The document requested to approve the export duties on wheat and a mixture of wheat and rye (meslin), emmer at 9% but not less than 17 euros per tonne for barley - 14% but not less than 23 euros per ton, and corn - 12 % but not less than 20 euros per tonne. Under the bill, with the effective date of the document the goods referred to therein shall be withdrawn from free trade with foreign nations, as the Cabinet within a month to inform the foreign state. It is assumed that this rate will apply until January 1, 2012.
