Ministry of Internal Affairs has asked the Cabinet for the disposition of credit unions - V. Farinnik

Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) has asked the government over the continued functioning of credit unions. On this day, January 20, at a press conference, said Deputy Interior Minister Vasyl Farinnik correspondent of RBC-Ukraine. "Today, credit unions - those organizations from which people suffer more than they receive help ... As of today 634 registered credit unions, and last year we investigated 107 criminal cases in which 65 thousand victims. We it does not take the credit union, make sure there is crime. Many unions fraudulently deceive people and take the money, "- said V. Farinnik. Accordingly, the Ministry of the Interior proposes to tighten control over, or credit unions, or prohibit their activities. In addition, Mr Farinnik said that customers often become victims of fraud scheme, when the union collects money from investors and then immediately liquidated, but the regulator did not have time to monitor his activities. Recall, Interior Minister Anatoly Mogilev, speaking in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, expressed the need to ban credit unions. Also recall that the activities of the Financial Services Commission regulates credit unions.
