About 20 billion cubic meters of gas, which currently come in transit through Ukraine in the direction of the Czech Republic and Germany, will be delivered to Nord Stream "You all, dear friends, you know" - said the head of Gazprom, Alexei Miller, Interfax-Ukraine. Miller confirmed that it is approximately about 20 billion cubic meters of gas a year (it's almost the annual transit of Russian gas through Ukraine to Uzhhorod destination in the Czech Republic and Germany). Earlier, former Ukrainian President Leonid Kuchma said the country will be without Russian gas after launching of the Nord Stream. "When you start the Nord Stream project, who will be left without gas? Our pipe ... although I once received assurances from Putin that he will not be built ... It is clear that "South Stream" - is more a political decision, but the Nord Stream project - a fact, "- noted then Kuchma.
